Hi and welcome to SCAPE! My name is Justin and along with my wife Jenny, we run our business from a friendly Victorian arcade in Westbourne situated 1.2 miles from Bournemouth town centre and 4 miles from Poole.
I started my early career training in floristry where I really began to appreciate colour and texture. I ran a successful floristry business for many years before I sold it. I then embarked on a career as a professional yacht skipper on various consignments for years. It was during my travels to many different obscure locations that I met a lot of talented artisans creating wonderful furniture, homeware and giftware pieces, often made by hand. I was immensely inspired by the designs and the craftsmanship of their work.
During my travels I met Jenny and with her love of travel and business we started to build our future. We have helped our furniture supplier to come up with designs that appeal to the western market without losing their own originality. As we are involved with the furniture designing process we are confident of the quality and the source.
As an award-winning independent business, we are constantly searching and designing to bring the most beautiful and unique pieces to you for enjoyment at home or for an amazing gift for someone to cherish.

As a small independent family-run business, every single customer is important to us. We rely on word of mouth for continued business so we take the time to look after our customers. We do our best to make sure that you leave feeling happy after every visit to our online shop or arcade shop. Our small passionate team pride themselves on delivery of an amazing customer experience without you feeling under any pressure.
We charge no extra cost for our premium services such as gift-wrapping, bespoke flower arrangements and white glove delivery to local residents.
2. Ethically made furniture from sustainable hardwood
The new timber used for most of our furniture production is premium grade wood harvested responsibly through the Forest Stewardship Council, and the new paints and stains used are certified as Eco-friendly. All accepted standards of fair labour, health and safety practices are strictly complied with throughout the manufacturing process.
3. Longer warranty for your peace of mind
Typically when in the UK’s temperate climate, tropical hardwood furniture will move naturally, expanding in the summer and retracting in winter, drawers and doors can get sticky, split and prove difficult to use the longer it is in your home. At Scape, we support the back of some of our larger pieces of furniture and the base of the drawers with high-grade marine plywood , ensuring free movement of the furniture and your peace of mind all year round.
Most other furniture retailers only offer 1 year standard warranty. Our warranty on most of our wooden furniture lasts 2 years and gives you peace of mind when you buy from us.
4. No Flatpacks
Nobody likes flatpack furniture. Spare yourself the frustration when you order with us. All of our furniture is created beforehand (except for our bolt-in dining table legs) and delivered directly to your door.
5. Bricks and mortar business
