Meticulously handcrafted chess set carved by hand from the horn and bone of the sacred water buffalo of the Indian sub-continent. These animals are considered holy by many of the Indian religions and are therefore protected by very strict laws. They are kept and looked after very well and milked regularly, ownership is forbidden, they life long and happy lives a lot of the time just wandering freely where they wish, wallowing in mud pools and swimming in the rivers to cool off.

When the water buffalos pass away through natural causes there remains are used to create wonderful handcrafted special items that are considered to be blessed in the Hindu and other Indian religions.
