This colt peace maker long barrel was a formidable weapon accurate to a T, favoured by general Custer on his many campaigns to purge the wild west of the aggressive apache native American tribe, who just refused to settle into there designated reservation. This caused untold grief for the early settlers travelling west as they were often attacked and murdered in horrific ways by the Apache to try to send a strong warning not to go west. This just exacerbated the problem even more and escalated the hatred on both sides and history tells of the crimes committed by all involved. It was said general Custer could shoot a buzzard out of the sky from over one and a half miles away with this long barrelled colt.
