Product Description
This beautiful piece of engineering was first commissioned by Tsar Peter 1st in 1718 when he visited Tula engaging the oligarchical Demidov family to embark upon the construction of the first factory dedicated to the manufacturing of war equipment. A few decades later Tula became the largest centre in the world for the construction of metallurgical items. This pistol was capable of firing a 20 mm lead ball at extremely high velocity that could effectively penetrate the armour and chain mail of the day. Its intricately adorned with detailed engravings with the eagles head handle that would have been carved ivory back in the day.
I particularly like the firing mechanism on this pistol that resembles a leviathan of the ocean showing strength.
