Best places to visit in Bournemouth

Yes, our Cherries have won! And premier league fans, we welcome you with open arms! Here is a list of the best places to visit outside the match times!

Bournemouth Beach

Voted one of the best beaches in the UK, our gorgeous 7 miles of sandy beaches lie directly to the east of the  world heritage site ”Jurassic Coast” . There are also the gorgeous Alum chime and Durley chime, straight off the beach. For the folks who are a bit adventurous, try the zip wire off the Bournemouth pier!

Bournemouth Gardens

The award-winning Upper, Central and Lower Gardens are an attraction in a beautiful, Victorian setting. It sits right on the doorstop of the Bournemouth beach. Absolutely stunning and well kept throughout the year! Great place for a romantic stroll along the stream. You will be surprised that how long the gardens stretch!  It will take you a good 30-45 minutes to finish the walk through the Upper, Central and Lower gardens. There are also places to play mini-golf or parks for children to play.

Oceanarium

Based on the Bournemouth seafront, the Oceanarium is home to hundreds of creatures across the world, such as  green sea turtles, clownfish, piranha, guitar fish etc. It is a cool place to take the children when you have been on the beach for a long while and fancy somewhere interesting to check out. How about taking a dive in their interactive diving cage? It will give you a 270-degree view of the ocean.

Russell-Cotes Art Gallery & Museum

The Russell-Cotes is a centre famous for collections of international status. We love its eccentric Art Nouveau-style setting and private Victorian art collection.

Splashdown

Voted the best in the South, Bournemouth has an excellent water-park. Indoors there are 8 thrilling rides filled with twists and turns. My 9-year-old daughter absolutely loves it!

If you come along in the summertime, be sure to get on all the outside rides too.

Bournemouth Eye

Get a bird’s eye view of Bournemouth like you’ve never seen before on the Bournemouth Eye. It sits in the Lower Gardens, very close to the beach. You will be 500ft in the air and you will get a panoramic view stretching over 20 miles of the Bournemouth gardens and beaches.

Adventure Wonderland

A great place to take the children, with Alice in Wonderland themes and characters ready to let their imaginations run wild.

Whatever you are looking for in Bournemouth, be sure to make time to see the places we mentioned!

Enjoy Bournemouth! Love Scape X
