This weapon was standard issue for French officers during the Napoleonic wars of the early nineteenth centenary note

Flintlock pistols were one of the most commonly used firearms by the pirates in the eighteen century.

They had a flint stone, which when it was triggered by the hammer producer the spark that ignited the gunpower. All these guns required the lead shot to be reloaded manually after each shot.
